Over 13 exquisite herbs offer a formula with a beautifully hydrating, super light texture. You won't find irritating ingredients like benzoyl peroxide in Smooth - that goes against our natural philosophy.
Natural products for acne skin types tend to be themed on tea tree oil, but we chose Rose as a theme for our recipe. It's gentle effects fuse perfectly with Organic Coriander, Goldenrod, Fennel, and Yarrow to cleanse pores. Phytonutrients from cold-extracted herbs like Olive Leaf add to the synergy with compounds like Oleuropein. Organic Licorice and Heather flowers help reduce the appearance of pigmentation for troubled skin.
This moisturizer is technically oil-free, as organic Jojoba is a liquid wax, not a triglyceride. It conditions skin without greasiness and keeps pores clear to allow skin to breathe fully.
Freshly juiced organic Carrot and Helio Carrot CO2 add natural source Beta Carotene, the botanical version of Vitamin A. Niacinamide is included at 4%, a level beneficial for acne skin types. Niacinamide is the active form of Vitamin B3 and it's one of our favorite skincare ingredients. If you have oily skin, dark marks from acne breakouts, uneven hydration levels, or fine lines then Niacinamide is for you.
And if we didn't tell you about the amazing scent from the Rose/Bergamot/Frankincense combination we'd be neglecting one of the best parts of this recipe. It is refreshing, and so much more than just a scent, as the essential oils are a key part of the therapeutic aspects of our formula. Essential oils penetrate the skin easily to work from within, giving conditioning benefits to clogged and sluggish skin.
Individuals with dry skin that is prone to acne can use this treatment prior to final moisturizing. Individuals with oily skin that is prone to acne can use it alone. For maximum effect combine with our Tone - Adaptive Energy Tonique daily and Refine - Clay Renewal Treatment on a weekly basis.
Two of our oil serums make wonderful companions to Smooth A+ Serum. If you have hormonal acne problems with dryness our Restore Deep Healing Oil Serum used on top of Smooth is a fabulous way to finish nourishing skin and ease the appearance of hormonal distress in the skin. If you tend towards oily skin or have blackheads then our Flawless Equalizing Anti-Blemish Oil Serum would be excellent for periodic facial massage and additional nourishment daily as needed. Adding a little oil to skin means your pores don't have to produce as much sebum to keep skin comfortable.
Please note that the Honeysuckle extract used in this product is created as a fresh, cold processed extract in our studio and is NOT the refined honeysuckle extract commonly known as "Plantservative". We were unaware of that product when designing our recipes and use only the whole herb extract which has been used by herbalists for generations.
DIRECTIONS
Gently spread over face and neck after cleansing and toning. May also be used throughout the day as a spot treatment.
Each 1 oz container is approximately a 1 month supply when used once daily.
